10 things to do in Porto with children
Explore Porto as a family with 10 activities combining history, nature, science, animals, books and time outdoors.

For the first time, WoD is promoting a themed week dedicated to Halloween, extending the traditional celebration over several days and offering the public a fun, immersive and educational experience. The initiative includes themed decorations, daily activities and moments created exclusively for Halloween.
On 31 October (Friday) and 1 November (Saturday), even scarier surprises are planned. Visitors will be able to watch exclusive theatrical performances, starring characters inspired by Portuguese navigators – the captain, the chaplain and the cabin boy – who return from the seas to guide the audience through stories and myths from the Age of Discovery. These are complemented by themed games, storytelling sessions and special guided tours, reinforcing the balance between entertainment and historical learning that characterises the WoD.
The ‘Haunted Discoveries’ week invites families, schools and visitors of all ages to experience a unique adventure, where imagination and knowledge come together in the spirit of this celebration.
All activities take place during normal opening hours, allowing visitors to explore the space in an engaging and surprising environment.
