Existem preços especiais para Escolas?

As Escolas têm condições exclusivas. Os alunos pagam bilhete de €8. Um professor em cada 10 alunos entra gratuitamente; os restantes pagam o mesmo valor que os alunos.

Todas as visitas escolares devem ser marcadas com antecedência. O pagamento poderá ser efetuado antecipadamente ou no dia da visita, em numerário ou cartão.

Existem horários especiais para visitas escolares?

As visitas escolares realizam-se de terça a domingo entre as 10h00 e as 16h30. É conveniente que antes de efetuar a sua reserva considere dias e horários alternativos, para o caso das datas pretendidas estarem já bloqueados.

Qual a duração média de uma visita?

A visita é feita à velocidade de cada Grupo, no entanto, em média poderá demorar entre 1h30 a 2 horas.

Existe estacionamento para os Autocarros?

Apesar de não podermos recomendar lugares de estacionamento, aconselhamos que os autocarros parem temporariamente no Largo da Alfândega para os passageiros saírem em maiores condições de segurança, não condicionando, por outro lado, o tráfego na Rua Nova da Alfândega (rua através da qual poderão aceder à receção do World of Discoveries).

Existe limite máximo de alunos por Grupo?

Os Grupos Escolares não estão sujeitos a limites máximos, no entanto, deverão ser organizados em blocos de 35 a 40 alunos (em média) que acederão ao espaço faseadamente, em intervalos regulares de cerca de 15 minutos. Destina-se esta condição a proporcionar uma experiência mais enriquecedora e conforme às expetativas de alunos e professores.

Como é feito o acesso das Escolas ao World of Discoveries?

O acesso das Escolas é feito pela entrada principal. No entanto, o responsável pela Visita deverá dirigir-se à Receção antes de fazer entrar o Grupo. Depois de feito o registo, o Grupo poderá aceder ao espaço, de acordo com as orientações da equipa do WORLD OF DISCOVERIES.

Existe algum espaço para os alunos merendarem?

É sempre aconselhável, caso os grupos pretendam, antes ou depois da visita, realizar uma pequena refeição, pois as merendas só poderão ser realizadas fora do espaço e não condicionadas ao horário programado para a visita.

Os Encarregados de Educação podem acompanhar a visita?

Os Encarregados de Educação podem acompanhar a visita dos filhos desde que numa lógica devidamente prevista e organizada pela Escola e em coordenação com o Professor responsável.

Os preços escolares não se aplicam aos Encarregados de Educação.

Onde estão localizados os WC?

Os WC estão localizados nos vários pisos do WORLD OF DISCOVERIES: WC para portadores de mobilidade reduzida no Piso 0; feminino no Piso 1; masculino no Piso 2.”

Existe bengaleiro para bens pessoais?

No WORLD OF DISCOVERIES não existe bengaleiro, deste modo não se responsabiliza por qualquer dano ou perda.

Fotografias são permitidas?

As fotografias são parte integrante de uma experiência de visita positiva e memorável e, assim sendo, são obviamente permitidas. No entanto, o flash ou qualquer outro tipo de luz artificial não são autorizados, como forma de proporcionar a todos a melhor experiência possível.

Are there special prices for schools?

Schools enjoy exclusive conditions. For every ten students, one teacher is admitted free of charge; additional teachers pay the same rate as students.

All school visits must be booked and paid for in advance.

Do teachers pay for tickets?

One teacher in every 10 students gets in free of charge; the rest pay the same exclusive fee as the students: €8

Are there special times for school visits?

School visits are available from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. It is advisable to consider alternative days and times when making your reservation in case your preferred dates are already booked.

What is the average duration of a visit?

The visit is made at the speed of each Group, but on average it can take between 1h30 and 2 hours.

Is there parking for the buses?

Although we can’t recommend parking spaces, we do recommend that the buses stop temporarily at Largo da Alfândega so that passengers can get off safely, without affecting traffic on Rua Nova da Alfândega (the street through which you can access the World of Discoveries reception).

Is there a maximum number of students per Group?

School groups are not subject to maximum limits; however, they should be organized in blocks of 35 to 40 students (on average) who will access the space in stages, at regular intervals of around 15 minutes. This is intended to provide a more enriching experience that meets the expectations of students and teachers.

How do schools access the World of Discoveries?

The schools will enter through the main entrance. However, the person in charge of the visit should go to Reception before letting the group in. After registering, the Group will be able to access the space, according to the instructions of the WORLD OF DISCOVERIES team.

Is there any space for students to eat their lunch?

We recommend that groups plan for a meal either before or after the visit, as picnics are only allowed outside the premises and cannot interfere with the scheduled visit time.

Can guardians accompany the visit?

Guardians are welcome to accompany their children’s visit, provided it is properly planned and organized by the school in coordination with the responsible teacher. School rates do not apply to guardians.

Where are the toilets located?

Restrooms are located on various floors of the WORLD OF DISCOVERIES: accessible restroom on the ground floor; women’s restroom on the first floor; men’s restroom on the second floor.

Is there a checkroom for personal belongings?

There is no checkroom at WORLD OF DISCOVERIES, so we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss.

Are photos allowed?

Photographs are an integral part of a positive and memorable visitor experience and are therefore obviously allowed. However, flash or any other type of artificial light is not allowed, in order to provide everyone with the best possible experience.

Does World of Discoveries have partnerships with other entities for programs in Porto?

WORLD OF DISCOVERIES has prepared a series of partnerships, allowing you to spend a truly unique day in the city of Porto and the Douro region.
